# Connect a Printer to WiFi

Dripos compatible Epson TM-m30iii and Epson TM-L100 printers must be ethernet hardwired.

If your router is a significant distance away from the printer, you can purchase a [WiFi extender](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RHD97QY) to plug the ethernet cord in.

## Ethernet Printer Set Up

Connect your printer to WiFi via ethernet.

    Place the printer near a wall outlet and a Wi-Fi router (or your WiFi extender).

    Remove the cover at the bottom of the printer to access the power and ethernet ports.

    Connect the power and ethernet cables to the printer ports.

    Turn the printer on using the **Power Button** on the top right corner.

    Several icons on the printer status bar will begin to blink. After a minute, the icons will stabilize.

    When the printer is fully configured, the **Power** and **Ethernet** icons will be blue. If these icons are not lit up, your printer is not properly connected to WiFi.

    Once the icon lights are stable, the printer will print a receipt displaying an **IP Address** for connecting to the POS.

    <Warning>
      **192.168.192.168 is an invalid IP address.**

      Check that your network is online and the ethernet cord is plugged in properly.

      Turn the printer off, wait a minute, and turn the printer back on to see if the IP address changes.

    Navigate to the tablet system **Settings** > **Wi-Fi** and click the **Information** button and ensure the first three sets of the Wi-Fi IP address **(xxx.xxx.xx.-)** matches the printed IP address.

      The last set of numbers for the IP address will not match.
