# Cash Management Systems

> Choose from three different cash management systems with Dripos

    ### Device Based Cash Drawers

    <Icon icon="check" iconType="solid" /> One cash drawer per Point of Sale device (per iPad)

    <Icon icon="check" iconType="solid" /> Cash transactions made on a device will be tracked on that device's specific cash drawer

    *Example: Two iPads are used for taking orders, each with its own cash drawer that tracks its respective sales.*

      To enable this cash management system, on the **Dashboard**

          Click the settings icon in the upper right corner > **Settings**

          **Order System** > **Edit** > **Share Cash Drawer Between Devices** = **No** > **Save**

    <Accordion title="Open Device Based Cash Drawer">
      Open a new cash drawer at the beginning of each day following the steps below:

        <Step title="Navigate to Cash tab">
          On the **Point of Sale**, press the **tribar** <Icon icon="bars" /> in the upper left screen corner > press **Cash**

        <Step title="Open new drawer">
          Press **New Drawer**
        </Step>

        <Step title="Set opening amount">
          Count the money currently in the drawer before opening and record the amount here. This helps ensure an accurate total at the end of the day.
        </Step>

        <Step>
          You've successfully opened a cash drawer! All cash sales made on this iPad will be tracked here.
        </Step>

        <Step>
          Repeat this step for every device based cash drawer on their respective devices.
        </Step>

        <Step title="Enter closing amounts">
          **Amount in Drawer**: Record the total amount of money in the drawer at the end of the day.

          **Cash Remaining in Drawer**: The amount of money to be kept in the drawer for the next day's opener.

  <Tab title="Location Cash Drawers">
    ### Location Cash Drawers

    <Icon icon="check" iconType="solid" /> Location Cash Drawers keep track of all cash transactions in one shared cash drawer.

    *Example: There are two registers in shop, cash sales from both Register 1 and Register 2 will be recorded on the same cash drawer.*

      To enable this cash management system, on the **Dashboard**

      Open a new cash drawer at the beginning of each day following the steps below:

          Count the money currently in the drawer prior to opening and enter that amount in here. This will help to ensure a correct count at the end of the day.

          You've successfully opened a location cash drawer! All cash sales made across all register devices in the shop will be recorded here.
