# Company Menu Products

> Create shared products and manage where they are sold.

Products in Company Menu are shared across the company. Product details are managed once, while **Location Availability** determines which stores can sell each product.

## Create a product

You can create a product from the Products page or from inside a category.

    On the Web Dashboard, go to **Menu** > **Products** and click **Create Product**.

  <Tab title="From a category">
    Go to **Menu** > **Categories** > **View** category > **Products** > **Add Product** > **Create Product**.

    The category is selected automatically. You can change it before saving.

Complete the product information:

* **Name:** The customer-facing product name.
* **Product Category:** The category where the product appears.
* **Price:** The starting base price. You can change the pricing type and price on the Pricing tab after saving.
* **Description:** Optional customer-facing product details.
* **Product Image or Preset Image:** The image displayed on enabled ordering platforms.
* **Location Availability:** Every store that should offer this product.

Click **Create**, then open the product to configure pricing, modifiers, schedule, taxes, platforms, discounts, barcode, and settings.

  Product information is shared. Editing a product changes it everywhere the product is available. Use Location Availability when a product should be offered at only some stores.

### Pricing

Choose how the product is priced, then click **Save Pricing**. The tab also shows **Product Price w/ Tax** and lets you enter an optional **Estimated Cost**.

  <Accordion title="Fixed Pricing">
    Use one base price for the product. Add-on modifiers can increase the checkout total.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Sized Pricing">
    Use a Pricing modifier when size or type changes the product's base price.

    * **Pre-made Modifier:** Attach a shared global Pricing modifier.
    * **Custom Modifier:** Build pricing options used only by this product.

  <Accordion title="Variable Pricing">
    Enter the product price during Point of Sale checkout. Variable Pricing should not be used for mobile ordering.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Weight Pricing">
    Calculate the price from the product's measured weight.
  </Accordion>

### Modifiers

The Modifiers tab shows add-on modifiers attached to the product.

Click **Add Modifier** and choose:

* **Global Modifier:** Attach a shared Company Menu modifier.
* **Custom:** Create a modifier used only by this product.

Drag the modifier handle to change the order customers see during checkout. Reload the product after saving to confirm the order.

### Schedule

Use the Schedule tab to control when the product can be ordered.

* **Date Range:** Make the product available during a specific date and time range.
* **Daily Recurrence:** Set recurring availability for selected days and times.
* **Hide item when unavailable:** Prevent customers from adding the product outside its schedule.

A schedule does not add the product to a store. The store must also be selected under Location Availability.

### Taxes

Attach or remove product tax rates. Category tax rates apply automatically unless the product's tax configuration overrides them.

### Platforms

Choose whether the product is available on Point of Sale, Mobile, Kiosk, Dripos Go, and other supported ordering platforms.

A platform can be enabled while the product remains hidden at a store because Location Availability is evaluated separately.

### Discounts

Attach existing Product Discounts or create a discount for the product. A discount can be used only at locations where the discount and product are both available.

### Barcode

Add or update the barcode used to find the product during supported workflows.

### Settings

Manage product behavior including One Click, Auto Complete, preparation instructions, alcohol settings, mobile notice, minimum and maximum quantities, and related settings. Settings is the final product tab.

## Duplicate a product

Open a product, click **Actions**, and choose **Duplicate Product**.

The duplicate is added to the Company Menu. Review its name, category, pricing, modifiers, platforms, and Location Availability before enabling it for customers.

## Custom products

Custom Products are one-time items created during Point of Sale checkout and are not part of Company Menu. Use the original [Custom Products instructions](/orders/menu/products/products-basics#custom-products) for that workflow.
