A) Logging Into a Tablet

Learn how to login and setup new or existing POS devices.

What's in this article?

In this article, we'll cover how to login into a new tablet and either set it up as a new device or load settings from an existing device you've already created. To begin the process, all you need to do is download the POS app onto the tablet you are using. Dripos can run on any Android or iOS device so you can find the app by simply searching 'Dripos - Point of Sale' on either app store.

Setup process

Step 1. Download 'Dripos - Point of Sale' onto your tablet. Here is a listing on the iOS app store for reference:

Step 2. Login, entering the phone number that you setup your account with. As you'll learn in the employee management articles, you can also create different roles and permissions to allow other employees access to logging to the POS as well. Once logged in, you will not need to log back in unless you manually select to log out.

Once you've entered in your phone number, you should receive a text message with a 6 digit code. Enter that code into the following screen.

Step 3. Once you've successfully logged in with the text verification, you will be prompted to select which location you'd like to login to (only relevant for multi-location businesses). Use the dropdown to sort between all the locations underneath your business.

Step 4. After you've selected the correct location, you can choose to either setup the tablet as a new or existing device.

A device is something you enter in a name for that is related to the function of that tablet. For example, if the tablet is being used as a ticket screen in the kitchen, you could name it 'Kitchen Tickets'. The device will save all settings so if you ever need to swap out the tablet, you can simply log a new one into the same 'Kitchen Tickets' device at a future date.

Note: do not setup more than 1 tablet underneath the same device as this could potentially cause some issues!

Option 1: New Device

Enter in the name you'd like to use for the saved device here.

Option 2: Existing Device

Choose an existing named device you already created in the past.

Step 5. Congrats! By this point you have now setup a new tablet. You should now be taken into the register screen as seen below. From here, you can edit any device specific settings and they will remain saved under the device name. If at any point you need to replace a tablet, simply log into the same device.
