Learn about the two ways you can view products inside of the POS app.
In this article, you will learn about the two different ways that products can be viewed on the register page of the POS. To choose between the two options, you'll simply tap on the slider next to the search bar as seen below outlined by the red box:
This is the default view on the register when you first setup a new device. Grid view will list the products out in rows of 4, showing product name and image. Grid view is best for locations looking to have faster access to multiple buttons at one time.
As more products are added to a certain category, the grid view will become scrollable in order for you to see all the products.
List view becomes active once you tap the slider and move it to the icon with 3 dots/lines. The products will then appear in a list rather than a grid:
List view provides more immediate additional information on each product like the price and description. However, list view will not display as many products at once due to the additional information.
Many locations like to use list view in combination with using the search bar to find products quickly. The register search bar is lightning fast and will list out all closely related product as you are typing a search out.
Ultimately, it's up to you on what you and your employees prefer while working! If you want to switch between the two views, you can do so at any time by simply tapping the toggle!
