Dripo’s Advanced Reader Setup allows for customizability to fit your ideal card reader set-up. With Advanced Card Reader pairing, you can set up your Card Reader in two modes:

Front Facing Display: Syncs with your Point of Sale for a cohesive patron experience completely integrated with your shop’s information, loyalty, and marketing programs.

POS Mode: Turns your reader into a standalone Point of Sale for a start to finish checkout experience from taking orders to paying them off. Guide to pairing on POS Mode here.

How to Pair Your Card Reader on Front Facing Display Mode

  1. Log on to the Point of Sale. Once signed in, click on the 3 line icon at the top left of the screen > Click the Settings Button (Gear Icon):
  1. Navigate to the Card Readers tab on the left hand side. Here you’ll see setup options for the Card Reader. Please ensure that you do not have a Card Reader already paired on this device.

    Once confirmed, find the Advanced Reader Settings section:

  1. To pair your new reader, press the red Add Reader Button to make the new reader modal appear. Here, you can pair and configure your reader:

Pairing Code: Type in the Pairing Code Generated by your Card Reader here, case sensitives with dashes included.

On the card reader, swipe from the left edge of the screen to the right > Press the Settings button > Type the Admin PIN: 07139 > Press Generate Pairing Code

Reader Label: Insert your desired name for the card reader here.

Reader Mode: Select Front Facing Display.

Cart Line Item Display Mode: Select whether you want only Line Items or both Line Items and Menu Modifers to appear on your card reader screen during checkout.

Reader Host Device: Choose the device you want to pair the reader with. This will default to the device that entered the settings.

  1. Once you’ve confirmed your settings, hit Save to pair your reader. Paired readers will appear in your Advanced Reader settings once added.

Editing, Re-Pairing, and Deleting your Paired Card Reader on the POS

  1. To Edit or Delete your Paired Reader, locate the desired Reader Label and Click the Edit (Pencil) button to the right of it:
  1. Here, you can Remove your Reader, Repair it with a new Pairing Code, and/or view it’s connection to your network via the Connection Log:

To re-pair your reader, you will simply need to generate a new pairing code on your card reader, and enter the new code into the POS.

Card Reader Tipping on Advanced Card Reader Mode

Card Reader tipping is built into the Advanced Card Reader setup. To prevent any issues with tipping, keep the “Reader Tipping” Toggle Disabled as this is toggle applies only to Wi-Fi Card Reader setup:
