Connecting a Cash Drawer to your Printer

For a physical cash drawer to function with your POS, you will need to connect it to a printing route.

Once a cash drawer is successfully connected to a printing route, it will automatically open when cash payments are collected.

Connecting a Cash Drawer to a Printing Route on the POS

1. Connect your physical printer and cash drawer by inserting the RJ11 cable into the proper ports on both devices:

2. Log on to the Point of Sale. Once signed in, click on the 3 line icon at the top left of the screen > select the gear icon in the bottom right corner:

3. Click on the Printer Settings tab:

4. Scroll down to the Printer Drawer Connections section > select Add Drawer:

5. On the next page, you will need to select from the following:

Drawer is Enabled: If this toggle is turned on, the cash drawer will automatically open when cash is selected as the payment method.

Receipt Printer: Select which of your printers the cash drawer is connected to.

Host Device: Select which of your POS devices you want the cash drawer to be connected to.

5. Once you have finished, click Save:
