Tipping Setup

The Dripos tipping feature allows you to customize the tipping options available to your shop’s customers.

By customizing your shop’s tipping options, you have the flexibility to design a tipping workflow that best caters to your shop’s specific requirements and aligns with its unique needs.

You are able to configure your shop’s tipping settings through both the Dripos Web Dashboard and Point of Sale. Any changes made to your tipping settings on either the Web Dashboard or POS will automatically take effect on all of your shop’s ordering platforms.

Set Up Tipping on the Web Dashboard

1. Log on to the Web Dashboard. Once signed in, click on the Dripos Logo in the top right corner > Settings:

2. Select the Tipping tab at the top of the page:

3. Once on the tipping page, you will be able to view and modify your shop’s current Regular Tipping and Small Ticket Tipping settings:

4. To edit your Regular Tipping settings, click the Edit button on the right side of the Regular Tipping section:

This will prompt a pop-up to appear where you can edit the following regular tipping settings:

Tips Enabled: If set to no, customers will not be able to tip when placing an order.

Display No Tips Option: If set to yes, a no tip option will be displayed on the checkout page for customers to select.

Tip Option 1: Input the value you would like to be displayed as the first option presented on the tipping screen.

Tip Option 2: Input the value you would like to be displayed as the second option presented on the tipping screen.

Tip Option 3: Input the value you would like to be displayed as the third option presented on the tipping screen.

Default Tip Value: Here, you have the option to input a default tip value that will be pre-selected at checkout on both the Order App and Order Website .

Once you have made your desired modifications, click Save:

5. To edit your Small Ticket Tipping settings, click the Edit button on the right side of the Smaller Ticket Tipping section:

This will prompt a pop-up to appear where you can edit the following small ticket tipping settings:

Small Ticket Tipping Enabled: If set to yes, tickets with smaller total dollar amounts will be presented with different tipping options than regular tickets.

Display No Tips Option: If set to yes, a no tip option will be displayed on the checkout page for customers to select.

Maximum Small Ticket Size: Here, if Small Ticket Tipping is enabled, then tickets with totals below this amount will be presented with different tipping options.

Small Ticket Tip Option 1: Here, input the value you would like to be displayed as the first option presented on the tipping screen for small tickets.

Small Ticket Tip Option 2: Here, input the value you would like to be displayed as the second option presented on the tipping screen for small tickets.

Small Ticket Tip Option 3: Here, input the value you would like to be displayed as the third option presented on the tipping screen for small tickets.

Small Ticket Default Tip Value: Here, you have the option to input a default tip value for small tickets that will be pre-selected at checkout on both the Order App and Order Website .

Once you have made your desired modifications, click Save:

Set Up Tipping on the POS

1. Log on to the Point of Sale. Once signed in, click on the 3 line icon at the top left of the screen > select the gear icon in the bottom right corner:

2. Click on the Tipping tab:

3. Once on the tipping page, you will be able to view and modify the following tipping settings:

Enable Tipping: If this toggle is turned on, customers will be able to tip when placing an order on any of your shop’s ordering platforms.

Reader Tipping: If this toggle is turned on, customers will be able to select the tip amount on the card reader.

Small Ticket Tip Amounts: If this toggle is turned on, tickets with smaller total dollar amounts will be presented with different tipping options than regular tickets:

Maximum Small Ticket Amount: If Small Ticket Tip Amounts is enabled, then tickets with totals below this amount will be presented with different tipping options.

Small Ticket Tip Option 1: Input the value you would like to be displayed as the first option presented on the tipping screen for small tickets.

Small Ticket Tip Option 2: Input the value you would like to be displayed as the second option presented on the tipping screen for small tickets.

Small Ticket Tip Option 3: Input the value you would like to be displayed as the third option presented on the tipping screen for small tickets:

Tip Option 1: Input the value you would like to be displayed as the first option presented on the tipping screen for regular priced tickets.

Tip Option 2: Input the value you would like to be displayed as the second option presented on the tipping screen for regular priced tickets.

Tip Option 3: Input the value you would like to be displayed as the third option presented on the tipping screen for regular priced tickets.

On Dripos, you can elect to prompt to leave a tip before or after a transaction, and you can also turn off tipping altogether.

Manage Tipping on the POS

On the Point of Sale, navigate to Settings > Tipping.

Note the following settings:

Enable Tipping: This option should be toggled On if you would like tip options to appear on the Point of Sale or card reader. To disable tipping entirely, turn this setting Off.

After Payment: If selected, your tip options will appear after payment has already been taken, at the end of a transaction.

Before Payment: If selected, your tip options will appear before payment has been taken, after a payment method is selected.
